Loading ...MADR budget was adopted with 148 votes in favor and 130 against and no abstention, whereas the said amendment was rejected by 137 votes for, 147 against and 4 abstentions.
According to the State budget draft law for 2010, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) has available the amount of 5.436 billion lei this year from the State budget, to which an amount of 3.65 billion lei is added coming from non-repayable foreign funds and from external loans.
The reunited expert parliamentary committees gave their assent to the amendment on an added 2.1 billion lei to the budget, but the amendment was rejected as the result of the Parliament’s vote.
Subsidies to the agriculture total 2.026 billion lei, down by 25.6 percent from the 2009 budget, more than 1.78 billion lei representing the effectively earmarked amount in support to the agricultural producers. Compared to 2008, this component is lower by almost 26 percent.
