In this case in Constanta (south-east of Bucharest) part of the victims were murdered because they claimed something. They used to get a certain sum of money for signing the papers on setting up some trading companies.
After a certain span of time, when they found how very rich some other people were at their expense, they asked for some more money. This was one of the reasons for which they were murdered,” added the General Prosecutor.
Kovesi also said that it was only last week that prosecutors managed to relate the violation of economic laws, which had been investigated for a longer time, to the disappearance of some people. Sergiu Bahaian is suspected of having ordered the murder of at least four people.
In 2006 a man was given sedatives and thrown into the Danube from the Cernavoda bridge and another one was hit with a hammer on his head and his body was thrown into the Danube-Black Sea Canal.
