‘Water of life’, the deuterium depleted water, invented by Romanians in the 1980s and winning prizes at numerous international inventions shows is increasingly sought for on the international market, writes Gandul daily.

The deuterium depleted water is the creation of the researchers at the National Research Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies based in Ramnicu Valcea (central Romania).
Cancer-stricken 17-year-old Gianina M. from the western Lugoj city has been drinking the ‘water of life’ for three years and her illness is perfectly stable and she lives like a healthy person. Physician Nicola Traila, head of the Oncologic Surgery Clinic of the Timisoara Municipal Hospital (western Romania) extended the life of tens of cancer-suffering persons only by using water of life.

“Attention, this is not a medicine, it only supplements the medication”, physician Traila explained. Deuterium is a hydrogen isotope believed to be responsible for ageing and not only. The lesser deuterium is in your blood, the better, researchers say. Dermatologist Ioan Nedelcu used the water on his patients. He also created a line of skin care creams based on deuterium-balanced water.

“It slows the cutaneous ageing, it is spectacular. It is also great for acne, as well as for psoriasis. It took me four years to create this line and now it includes 19 different products based on the water of life”, Gandul quotes physician Nedelcu as saying.
The water of life is bought especially by Hungarians (40 to 50 percent of the total amount produced) and by the Japanese (10 to 15 percent). The rest is for the suffering Romanians and for some patients in the USA, Germany and Turkey.

Though, an American bought 180 litres without being ill, only for care. A Japanese suffering from cancer bought 20 tons. Eight years have passed since then and the person is feeling as if he were never ill.
“He is now the water’s biggest fan. He says he bathes in it because it is good for the epidermis and he even makes sake using it”, says Professor Ioan Stefanescu, director of the institute in Ramnicu Valcea, according to Gandul daily. In the Romanian mythology, legendary heroes were given water of life to drink in order to be brought back to life after having suffered serious injuries during fights.
