According to a press release of the Bucharest University, the contest was held at Seinajoki, Finland, over January 23-30. The students took part in 12 rounds simulating marketing questions in English, online, and were coordinated by professors/instructors from the participating countries.
The team representing the University of Bucharest was made up of three students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, applied modern languages section, Mihaela Rusu (gold medal), Corina Constanta Nistoreanu (bronze medal), Ramona Neicu (silver medal), and two students of the Faculty and Administration and Business, Diana-Georgiana Constantin (bronze medal) and Ioana-Mihaela Bucalau (bronze medal), and was headed by University Reader Diana Ionita, PhD, Professor Magdalena Platis-Iordache, PhD, and tutor Mihaela Rata.
Dukenet is a network set up 14 years ago, which includes universities from Europe (Denmark, the Low Countries, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Great Britain). In 2008 the University of Bucharest became full right partner and is to send annually students of the above-mentioned departments and faculties to attend intensive courses in marketing strategies.
