Loading ...Boc is said to have commended the UN mission for its results so far, while Age Eide thanked Boc for the professionalism of Romanian troops deployed in the Afghan theatre of operations and for the protection extended to him by the Romanian Guard and Protection Service while on mission in Afghanistan.
The two officials agreed that the world community should continue its efforts in Afghanistan for economic and social development, the reconstruction and consolidation of the country’s institutional capabilities.
In the same context, Boc reasserted Romania’s stance on its presence in Afghanistan, as well as its determination to continue its military and civilian contributions to the stability and reconstruction of Afghanistan. Kai Age Eide visited Romania February 5-6, at the end of his mission to Afghanistan.
