Loading ...Secretary of state for Global Affairs Doru Costea on Wednesday and Thursday will attend the informal meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC), development, which will he held in La Granja, Spain, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).
The European ministers in charge of development will approach subjects connected to the preparation of the New York Summit on the Millennium Development Goals (September 2010), the improvement of the efficiency of the development assistance, the identification of the innovating sources for development financing, says MAE.
The agenda of the ministerial meeting, the first to be attended by new European Commissioner for Development Anders Piebalgs, includes a working lunch, with the participation of new administrator of the US Agency for International Development Rajiv Shah, during which they will discuss the transatlantic partnership in the field of development and the situation in Haiti.
