The topics of the gathering, organized by the European Council’s Spanish presidency, in Palma de Mallorca, will refer to the global approach of the EU’s response to crises, the military operations carried out by the Union under the aegis of the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), the contribution of third countries to the CSDP, the development of the military capacities at EU level, institutional aspects that resulted after the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, as well as the main partnership relations of the Union in the field of international security.
