Loading ...At around 1.00 p.m. (5.00 p.m. – local time) the head of Romanian state will be met at Akorda Palace, within an official ceremony, by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbaev.
Tete-a-tete talks and talks with the participation of the two official delegations will follow, as well as press declarations. In the evening, Nursultan Nazarbaev will offer an official dinner in the honor of the head of the Romanian state. On Wednesday morning, President Traian Basescu will have a meeting with the Parliament’s Chairman, U.B. Mukhamedjanov, followed by a short visit to the Academy of Public Administration with the Republic of Kazakhstan Presidency, where he will meet the teaching staff and students of the State Academy.
The head of the Romanian state will also visit the Museum of the First President and will lay a wreath of flowers at the Monument of Motherland Defenders.
Further, President Basescu will go to Karaganda, where he will lay a wreath of flowers at the Memorial Complex in Spassk dedicated to the Romanian prisoners and to communist repression victims.
On Wednesday afternoon, the visit’s agenda includes a meeting with representatives of the Romanian community in Kazakhstan and with the members of Dacia Cultural Society. The official delegation includes the ministers of Economy Adriean Videanu, Foreign Affairs Teodor Baconschi and Defence Gabriel Oprea.
