More new dwellings were brought into use in the countryside, namely 53.6 and 53.8 percent respectively, in the 4th quarter of 2009 and the time span of 2008.
As for the financing sources, the number of dwellings built on private money went down by 4,857, and by 37 those erected on public money, in the 4th quarter of 2009 compared to the same period in 2008.
According to the INS figures, the new homes built in the countryside were by 50.4 percent more in 2009 and by 52.4 percent in 2008, but the year 2009 saw a two percent drop than the year before. The number of dwellings built on private money was by 4,545 units less that those made on public money, that grew by 1,232 in 2009 vs. 2008.
