The 12 prizes awarded to the winners are divided into two categories, one for tourist press and the other one for tourism industry.
According to CPTR, the tourism industry category will have six awards, i.e. hotel industry, travel, rehabilitation, carriers, vocational education/spa and rural tourism, while the tourist press category has six awards as well: television, radio, everyday life, press agencies/internet, periodicals/tourism literature, photography/film.
Besides these awards, there are the excellence awards to be granted to remarkable personalities for their long and successful activities in the field of Romanian tourism or for supporting the Romanian tourism.
The Romanian Awards Gala of FIJET – the association of professional travel writers and journalists – will be held on March 24, and Minister of Regional Development and Tourism Elena Udrea, the ambassadors of the EU countries and other countries with solid tourist tradition and FIJET Executive Committee members are among the guests of honour attending the ceremony.
