Chancellor of the School of Music with Targu Mures University of Theatrical Arts, University lecturer Dr. Lucian Rosca told that the decision to organize this seminar in Romania, in Targu Mures, was based both on personal acquaintance with ESEM President as well as on the school performances. „ESEM is organized each year in another city and in another country.
This year will be in Budapest, next in Scotland and, in 2012, in Romania, at Targu Mures. It is a first when this seminar will be organized in Romania. It seems a long time, but when we think about the participation of 60 to 80 researchers from Europe and the United States of America it is rather insufficient”, pointed out Prof. Rosca.
Dr. Dan Lundberg, who paid the visit on Monday, to Targu Mures, is also Director of Svenskt visarkiv (Center for Swedish Folk Music and Jazz Research), a professor in music, senior lecturer in musicology at the University of Stockholm, a scientist and active member of the International Ethnomusicology Scientist Society.
